Description

A presentation that discusses the the preservation of racial history while moving forward. Presents the conversion of R. R. Moton School (which was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998) to a museum that addresses civil rights in education. It celebrates the activism of Barbara Johns, who led a strike for equal education in1951. This protest led the students, with the legal support of the NAACP, to file Davis v. Prince Edward County.
