Description

The Pike attraction, Fair Japan, is under construction for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition --the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. Its attractions included Japanese tea houses and restaurants, Japanese theater and a garden modeled after the emperor's in Tokyo. Fair Japan was entered through the Nikko gate, a replica of the entrance to the Nikko temple, about 80 miles from Tokyo. No. 3688.
