This folder contains an assortment of documents made in support of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party's bid to be seated at the 1964 Democratic National Convention. Also included are a series of reports and press releases which describe the MFDP's later attempts to persuade Congress to eject the Democratic representatives from Mississippi. Highlights of this folder include: "A Primer for Delegates to the Democratic National Convention Who Haven't Heard About the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party" and a "Report Presented Before Congress on the Legal Obstacles Preventing African Americans from Voting in Mississippi."
