Holograph, signedEllis Gray Loring opposes the plan for inviting George Thompson to come to the United States and work for the American Anti-Slavery Society as a lecturer. He doesn't think that Thompson should be invited here to preach Disunion and the overthrow of the government. He criticizes G. T.'s oratory. "In briefer terms, he did not (like Garrison and Phillips) hit the nail on the head..."
