Description

Lady liberty emerges from the middle of a round cloud with a burst of rays of red light around her. She holds her Phrygian cap in her left hand and a sword and scales in her right. She's wearing a blue overdress with white stars and a white and red striped underdress. Underneath her cloud is a square building sitting over water with Ft. Sumpter written in it's reflection. ""Entered according to Act Congress in the year 1861, by J G Wells, in the clerk's office of the District Court for New York"" is printed along the left side of the envelope and ""Copyright Secured."" is directly under the image.
