Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. Above the first line is the number "56" written in pencil.William Warren writes to Amos A. Phelps in regards to Amos's Syracuse address. He writes that "I am no doubt personally unknown to you" but that he has "been an attentive observer of your course from the first--have distance to your speeches and have read what you have written with interest" but he "saw the failure of the [Syracuse] document" even though "I entertain none but the friendlist of feelings toward yourself personally." He intends to publish a reply to the article in "Mirror" unless Amos will retract certain passages in it.
