Description
James Clyburn, assistant to Governor John West for human resources, is elected as the first African-American president of the Young Democrats of South Carolina. Clyburn answers questions about the election. The newly elected vice-president, James Irvin of York, pledges his support for Clyburn, explains his pleasure with the new officers, and comments on his expectations for the organization in 1972.
