Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.George Thompson writes to John Bishop Estlin regarding "the next advocate, if you approve it, and it be not too late, a notice of my recent lecture of A.S." He writes of delivering addresses in other parts of the "kingdom" and "advise persons desirious of hearing such, and of securing the services of the lecturer, to correspond with me, or some one on my behalf." He writes of receiving a letter from Basingstoke, Harts, requesting lectures, stating that he has replied but requests that someone "would manage the financial department, leaving to me only the work." He also makes a suggestion on the last page for hundreds or thousands of copies of a small bill, "recommending the Advocate, be advantageously scattered at Our Anti-Slavery Meetings? The local booksellers or News Agents would supply the demand." He believes this will help the cause.
