Matthews, Janet Snyder Denson-Rogers, Nina

Description

Mack "Pat" McCutcheon speaks with Jan Matthews and Nina Denson-Rogers about being born and raised in Fort Myers, and the impact of Black farmers and business-owners to the development of the city, and being a club-owner, creating a network with enough reach to bring performers such as Duke Ellington and Count Basie to the area. "Cause I made it my business to try to find out and remember as much about this as possible. You see I'm a fact, I'm an actual fact, not a fiction. When I tell something, I've seen it. Joe-Joe the neighbor across the backyard fence didn't tell me this. I saw it with my eyes. I have visible recollection of it," Mack McCutcheon.
