Description

Photographs illustrate the steps in harvesting cypress trees to manufacture the shingles. The front of the brochure has an image of Reed House in Kingston, Massachusetts which was reconditioned in 1929 with Blue Jay Shingles. Text on the front of the item reads ..."the same methods that were used by the pioneers and their slaves 300 years ago." The item verso shows the roof of the Milk House on Reverie Farm in Warren, Connecticut. The shingles are "Listed in Sweet's architectural catalog."
