Enclosing and describing a recent clipping from the "Chicago Tribune" reflecting racist attitudes towards the authors of "What the Negro Wants" and prejudice against the race more generally, and seeking Du Bois's assistance in "bringing [the paper's] 'anti-Negro' policies... before the public so as to discourage the purchase of this hate sheet."
