The file documents a boycott in Port Charles, Mississippi, Ever's campaign and election as mayor of Fayette, and his unsuccessful campaign for governor of Mississippi in 1971. The file contains reports by members of the commission and articles from newspapers and magazines in Mississippi and around the country.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
