Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript annotated on recto, with "To Mrs. W. L. Garrison" in black ink along top-left margin of page, "Dec., 1875." in pencil along top-right of page, and "V 38, P 37" in pencil along bottom-left margin of page.Wendell Phillips writes Helen Garrison at the behest of his wife Ann, relaying her thanks to Garrison for "the memory of her & the print [Garrison] sent". Phillips states that his wife has "only memories left to live on" owing to the constant "weakness & pain & weariness" of her condition.
