Description

Holograph, signedWilliam Lloyd Garrison gives his plans for a trip to Hartford and New York "in company with Mrs. Howe and Mrs. Severance." He hopes to visit the Bensons for two or three days. He hopes that Mrs. J. M. M'Kim and Lloyd Garrison will return home with him. Garrison writes: "I am glad the Independent is to take notice of Cooley's impudent attempt to get money in the money in the Jeremy Diddler fashion, because that paper unaccountably made an appeal in his behalf, in an editorial item, some time ago; probably thinking the case was all right."
