Description

Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison announces his arrival in Halifax. He expects to reach Boston in two days; it will be a voyage of thirteen days, the shortest voyage ever made in this season. The weather has been unexpectedly bland. Garrison has been wretchedly sick nearly the entire voyage. He remembers his visit to Britain gratefully. Garrison praises his wife Helen Eliza Garrison. He hopes that that Faneuil Hall can be obtained for the anti-slavery bazaar.Includes an envelope with the delivery address: Elizabeth Pease, Darlington, England.Merrill, Walter M.
