He smiles.In 1975 Dr. Roberts succeeded the Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. as pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Roberts served as pastor for thirty years, and led the effort to build Ebenezer's new Horizon Sanctuary, which was dedicated in 1999.
