This folder has an assortment of COFO documents. Among them are: COFO pamphlets: "The Mississippi Summer Project"; "Mississippi Freedom Summer"; "Freedom Registration (with blank Freedom Registration form)"; "Adopt a Freedom School [The "Freedom School Prospectus"]." COFO's December 1963 bylaws. Annell Ponder's brave and moving essay called "Citizenship Education in the 'Heart of the Iceberg'." A January 1965 appeal from John and Candie Carawan for freedom songs for a second volume of same. The familiar "Overview of the Freedom Schools" for freedom school teachers. The overview of COFO's political program. Part of the overview of COFO's community centers. Jesse Harris's October 1964 appeal to ex-volunteers for funds for a McComb community center.
