Description

Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Original print has visible crease down middle.Photograph article dated March 10, 1964 reads, "After weeks of study and rehearsal, students of the Tygett School of Dance, Canoga Park, danced through the biggest single performance of their young careers. They recently presented 'Pandora's Box,' complete with professional costumes and staging, at the Northridge Junior High School auditorium. Most of the dancers were students who had given of their spare time once a week throughout the year, in addition to regular classes, to work on pantomimes, floor patterns and theories of dance. These workshops are composed of students who have developed a proficiency in ballet and jazz and who have shown a more than average interest in dance. The school's directors, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tygett, stress individual creativity." Photograph caption reads, "These teen-age girls are lovely ballerinas as they dance the 'Happy Trumpeter.' From left are Millie Hamm, 19, and Cindy Liddy, 16, both of Canoga Park, and Vickie Barrett, 19, Encino."; See images #00129014 through #00129019 for all photos in this series.
