Description
Correspondence about extension work in North Carolina, and regulations governing off-campus classes, 1949-1949. Transcripts were not included in digitization. The Division of Negro Education Special Subject File includes correspondence, reports, minutes, notes, questionnaires, deeds, memoranda, recommendations, proceedings, agendas, newspaper clippings, budgets, statistics, maps, and photographs. The subjects include high school accreditation, teachers salaries, curricula, the Jeanes Fund, the Rosenwald Fund, school buildings, teachers colleges, summer schools, normal schools, and material from the Interracial Commission (1933-1949). Also contains information and reports for most of the African American colleges in the state, and information from various conferences and committees.
