Description
Records collected by the Mississippi Sovereignty Commission in the James H. Meredith v. Charles Dickson Fair case, which considered Meredith's application to the all-white University of Mississippi. The file contains the decision issued in June 1962 by judge Wisdom supporting Meredith's petition for admission to the University as well as the dissenting opinion by Judge DeVane.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
