Description

This fifty-six-year-old woman’s conversion to the church resulted in the dissolution of her troubled, abusive marriage. She grew up in the FJKM Church and then joined the Apocalypse Church, from which she converted to the LDS Church. All of her four children are members of the Church. She teaches at a private school, but still struggles financially. Her favorite scripture stories are about Ammon and Nephi, who kept going despite adversity. She does notice backbiting and gossip at Church and is worried about retention rates for new members. She would like to see a temple in Madagascar. She says she refrains from praying to ancestors, though participation in Famadihana is a way to learn about family history.
