Cummins, Jos
Description
Holograph, signedJos. Cummins knows no inducement to relinquish his right to the boy Nelson, the son of his escaped slave Patsey. Measures are now proceeding to have Patsey returned, and "the only reason that they have not been more vigorously pursued, was her general worthlessness as a servant when here and her character after she absconded."
