[Side A] (1968-03-15) KPFA Broadcast: Former television and radio newsman, Daniel Schoenburn, speaks on the Democratic Presidential candidate and the Vietnam War at the Democratic Council Convention in Anaheim, CA. (00-28:40) 3/16/1968 Martin Luther King Jr. addresses the Democratic Council Convention and introduced by David Schoenburn. MLK touches on the topic of the Vietnam War as well as on the domestic issues of inequality in the United States. (29:10-74:00) Soviet Press Periodicals with William Mandell rebroadcast Mandell's testimony before the House of Un-American Activities (HUAC) originally given May 13, 1960. Mandell provides comments on his testimony after its rebroadcast eight years after it originally aired. (75:10-89:03) Broadcast of a press conference by the Bay Area Poor People's Campaign speaking on the Campaign's plan to march on Washington. Panelists include Willy Brown, Rodney Fletcher, and Cassandra Davis. (88:09-113:26) Interview with Judy Landfield and Carl Ulrich of the American Friends and Serivce Committee held after the conference with the Bay Area Poor People's Campaign. KPFA volunteer Danny Smithson questions them on their medical preparations being made for the march.
