Proof (printed matter). With proofreading marks and corrections in pencil; letter was printed in The Life of William H. Seward, by Frederic Bancroft. Proof created in 1899 or 1900.William Lloyd Garrison wants Alexander Milton Ross to suppress certain statements made by John Brown concerning the Northern abolitionists in the second edition of his book. (Recollections and Experiences of an Abolitionist, from 1855 to 1865, by Alexander Milton Ross.) William L.
