Peppler, Jim

Description

One of the signs reads "World History Book Outlet on 2,000,000,000 (Two Billion) Africans and Non-White Peoples." Another reads, "This House is Packed with All the Facts About All the Blacks in All the World Over." This image was taken for one of two pieces that appeared in The Southern Courier for August 6-7, 1966 ("A Stroll Through...Harlem," a photo spread on page 3), and October 29-30, 1966 ("Day and Night in Harlem," an article on page 4). Both issues are available online (not on the ADAH website): http://www.southerncourier.org/low-res/Vol2_No32_1966_08_06.pdf and http://www.southerncourier.org/low-res/Vol2_No44_1966_10_29.pdf
