Description

J.D. Hopkins recounts his WWII experiences in the United States Army's African American artillery 777th battalion that landed in France following D-Day to haul supplies to the 3rd Army front lines fighting through France to Germany. The supply line was dubbed the Red Ball Express, and provided ammunition, supplies and gasoline. Funding for the SWGRL WWII Veterans Project provided by the Thomas M. and Irene B.
