Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Samuel May, Jr. writes William Lloyd Garrison stating his accord with Garrison concerning the sale of "the Nell set of the Liberator" to Miss Weston. May states that, prior to having received Garrison's letter concerning this, he had mentioned to the librarian at Cornell University the possibility of this set being transfered to their library. May states that he has the entirety of the Liberator's run from January 1, 1840 to its final issue, and offers this for use "for some such public use". May informs Garrison that, some two years ago, he gave to Cornell University his complete set of the National Anti-Slavery Standard.
