In this series of WSB newsfilm clips from April 15, 1977, members of the band Lynyrd Skynyrd present a gold record to Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson. The clips begin with a sign in a hotel welcoming the band. The sign reads, "Welcome Lynyrd Skynyrd, April 15, 1977." The next clip shows lead singer Ronnie Van Zant signing autographs for a group of children. Next, Mayor Jackson is presented with the gold record from Van Zant. The award is in recognition of the album One More from the Road, which was recorded live at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. Van Zandt also presents what appears to be a check to Mayor Jackson. The members of the band then briefly speak with Mayor Jackson and shake hands.Title supplied by cataloger.
