Description
A large group of Mormons from England and Germany have stopped in Chicago on their way to Utah. The article describes these emigrants, who are of all ages, both genders, and from all situations of life; the author marvels at the faith and devotion of these deluded people and wonders what makes Mormonism so appealing. It appears that many foreign converts to Mormonism do not believe that polygamy is part of the Church’s doctrine.
