Description

Dr. Christine Johnson discusses her book, “Walk the Rainbow.” She begins by explaining that her book is a response to Terry McMillan’s book, “Waiting to Exhale.” She talks about how she spoke with her students and realized that people of all races and colors have similar problems. She advises that young women should make a list of goals for themselves. Dr. Johnson talks about the stereotypes of African American women. She describes the importance of staying healthy, active, and fit. She ends the interview by talking about what it was like growing up during the Civil Rights movement and how she was affected by affirmative action.
