Description

A panoramic view of members of the United Brothers of Friendship and Sisters of the Mysterious Ten, gathered in Los Angeles for the 17th Annual Session of the Grand Lodge. The men are dressed in dark suits and the women are wearing white dresses; all have badges pinned to their left breast. A group of women in the middle wear crowns and ornate collars as well. A note written in white in lower right corner reads "Made for Pioneer Photo Co. by Aerograph Co 5880 Moneta(?) L.A. CA".Based on the location of Jos. Hartley's hardware store and Jaeger's Poultry Market in the background from a Los Angeles directory from 1923, this photograph was taken in the 1200 block of South Central Avenue.
