They also discuss race relations and growing up in the Ben Van Clark neighborhood.Otto Hohnerlein was born on Wheaton Street in 1919, and his family ran Hohnerlein's meat market on Wheaton Street and Waters Avenue from 1919 until 1961 when the meat market closed permanently. The Hohnerleins' father and mother were German immigrants.
