A magazine from the Texas Commission on the Arts, included with a cover letter from John Paul Batiste, Executive Director for TCA. The cover letter talks about the themes of the magazine, titled "Art in Unexpected Places", the purpose behind TCA, and the importance of the arts in Texas culture. The magazine itself is split into 6 sections, The Makers of Art, Lifelong Learning, Public/Private Ventures, Art in Unexpected Places, Texas Museums & Texas Artist, and Texas Jazz. There are statements written from Executive Officers at the beginning of the magazine. The Makers of Art offers short biographies of musicians, painters, drawers, and writers. Lifelong Learning describes different organizations and their contributions to providing art education to communities. Public/Private Ventures discusses different organizations and their projects from the year. Art in Unexpected Places is about art being visualized all across Texas in different ways. Texas Museums & Texas Artist puts the spotlight on different museums and artist from across Texas and talks about their accomplishments in their communities. Texas Jazz gives information about different jazz festivals from across Texas. Other sections include Touring Traditions, New Opportunities, Service Organizations, and 1992-1993 Grants.32 p. : 28 cm.
