Royal African Company
Description
This royal proclamation, written to John Leverett (1616-1679), gives the Royal African Company of England exclusive rights to sail from America to trade with Africa and forbids all others from carrying "Negro Servants, Gold, Elephants teeth, or any other goods and merchandise."
