Description

Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison writes that the prospects for the Liberator newspaper are now "bright and cheering." He comments on the effect of the circular "Thoughts [on African Colonization]." He also discusses the weakness of Ralph R. Gurley's attack. James Cropper of Liverpool denounced the Colonization Society. Garrison rejoices that Rev. Jocelyn will be with them in Providence.Merrill, Walter M. Letters of William Lloyd Garrison, v.1, no.81.
