Description
The building was also the office for the Autauga County Improvement Association and the Autauga Chapter of the NAACP. The same day this photograph was taken, she attended a gathering in a small wooden church building in Prattville, probably a meeting of the Voters Association. A photograph taken during the meeting appeared on page 1 of The Southern Courier for April 30-May 1, 1966. The issue is available online (not on the ADAH website): http://www.southerncourier.org/low-res/Vol2_No18_1966_04_30.pdf
