Description

This folder contains photographs that provide a visual overview of the YMCA's Army and Navy Department, as well as the Armed Services Department. Photographs included document segregated events at both White and African American serving USOs, while also providing a view into how the YMCA chose to represent armed service members, their families, and volunteers for promotional purposes. Folders contain a variety of images from USOs across the country, illustrating the diversity of activities and personalities participating in events.
