Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.It is stamped, "PHELPS MSS."In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Henry B. Stanton explains that Mr. Whittier cannot be in Boston to aid Phelps with the antislavery legislative matters because he is scheduled to go to Philadelphia. He says Birney, Phillips, Angelina Emily Grimké, and Phelps should be able to make a good argument for the immediate emancipation at the meeting. He offers to send the Emancipator to about 100 leading men in the legislature whom Phelps names.
