Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript annotated on recto, with the following appearing: "Elizabeth Pease to W. L. Garrison." in black ink on top-left margin of page; "40", "141", and "To W. L. Garrison" in pencil on top-left margin of page above Pease Nichol's salutation to Garrison; "V18, P39" in pencil on bottom-left margin of page; and "Garrison MSS." stamped in blue ink on top-right margin of page above letterhead date.Manuscript dated "11 mo. 12. 1848".Manuscript annotated on page no. 5, with "Garrison MSS." stamped in blue ink on bottom-center margin of page.Elizabeth Pease Nichol informs William Lloyd Garrison that she has heard of his improved health, and advises that he consider hydrotherapy as a potential treatment for his recurring health worries. Pease Nichol opines that the "Anti Slavery bond" is a "close one", and remarks on her delight at meeting fellow abolitionists. Pease Nichol informs Garrison that she has sent to Wendell Phillips, by way of William Smeal, the sum of £3 to pay for the upcoming year's Liberator.
