Interview with Monroe Williams conducted by Claytee D. White on August 15, 2000. Williams was one of the first black firefighters in 1963, later becoming involved in real estate. He recalls many of the black families who owned homes and property on the Westside, the hunting he and his friends used to do in the desert washes, and his early schooling at Westside...
