Holograph, signed.The first page of this letter is mostly about Anne Warren Weston's friends, relatives, and social engagements. She tells a story about Senator Peyton of Tennessee. "David L. Child has gone to France & England. To France as the agent of a Sugar Manufacturing Company; & to England to see to some suits in chancery." Mrs. Chapman Sr. paid for the sign over the door of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society offices. She discusses teaching positions. She quotes from a letter written by Robert J. Breckenridge.
