Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper with an embossed logo in the head- spine corner of the first page, reading "London Finish." Also in the head- spine corner, a checkmark is drawn in pencil next to the phrase "From George Thompson" which is written and underlined in a different shade of black ink and a different handwriting from the letter. Above the salutation, the number "35" is written in pencil, while along the fore edge of the page there is a purple, oval stamp containing the words, "Garrison MSS."George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that William Wells Brown was welcomed to a meeting in London and "has invitations to various parts of the provinces and starts on Monday the 1st". Thompson discusses the meeting, telling Garrison that he and "Mr. Farmer" are copying the proceedings and sending them to Garrison to include in the Liberator. He requests that he sends 6 extra copies of the Liberator containing the proceedings and recommends Garrison "put in the resolutions[,] Ashurst speech and Atkinsons (both were good) should follow also one by Brock which was excellent."
