Description

Highway Patrolmen in riot gear standing before steps of the South Carolina state capitol. Various scenes of African-American students on State House grounds, some with signs. Various scenes of some demonstrators entering Capitol building. Visible among the group of protesters are James Felder, Dr. Roland Haynes (Director of the NAACP chapter at S.C. State), and journalist Jack Bass. The demonstrations are in response to the Orangeburg Massacre (February 8, 1968).
