Description
General view of an unidentified African-American chemist reviewing the results of an analysis made by a Perkin-Elmer Model 306 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer in the research laboratory at the Detroit Edison Company. Per notations accompanying the photograph, the atomic absorption spectrophotomer, which is equipped with a deuterium arc and Model PRS-7A Printer Sequencer, is being used to analyze acid-digested solid samples as part of permit compliance testing for the National Pollution Discharge Elimination Survey (NPDES).
