Jocelyn writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that he has received the invitation to the American Anti-Slavery Society's 30th anniversary meeting in Philadelphia, and hopes to attend at least part of the proceedings. Jocelyn offers his reminisces of the first meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society, and his hopes for a post-Civil War/post-slavery United States.
