Description

Addressed from 35 Capel Street, Dublin.Addressed to 21 Cornhill, Boston.Holograph, signed.May's note near the address reads, "Ans'd - July 12 / 58."Title supplied by cataloger.Miss Wigham thinks that Maria Weston Chapman should have consulted all of the people who worked for the Anti-Slavery Fair before she decided to discontinue it. She speaks of "direct taxation" as if Mrs. Chapman's plan involved an assessment of all abolitionists and doubts that there would be enough "taxpayers." Miss Wigham reports that Mary Anne Estlin's health is much improved.
