Manuscript includes three typeset copies measuring 21.7 x 28 cmManuscript addressed from "Mrs. Frances W. Titus Battle Creek, Mich PO Box. 1926."Writing at the request of Sojourner Truth, Frances W. Titus writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that Sojourner Truth proposes to have a supplement composed to her earlier work The Narrative of Sojourner Truth, documenting her subsequent life, and that she desires to have Garrison compose the opening chapter. Titus states that Garrison should be informed by the present time of Truth's illness, as relayed by Parker Pillsbury, and adds that her dependent grandson has also fallen ill. Titus states that Truth has no source of income, and that her friends are eager for the work to be published as soon as possible in order to "supply her most pressing needs". Titus adds that Advent Publishers have already agreed to print the work
