Film and outtakes of a program on UMass Boston's 'Local Focus' called 'But Can You Dance to It?.' 'Local Focus' was a program out of the Office of Educational Telecommunications that was funded in part by the Lowell Institute. The program begins with introductory remarks by UMass Boston Chancellor Robert Corrigan and includes footage of people dancing to different kinds of popular music, with commentary and discussion of music and popular culture. Also included is an interview with Reebee Garofalo about the cultural impact of popular music.
