Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript is incomplete; page(s) missing.Margaretta L. Kelley writes William Lloyd Garrison requesting that he published a notice concerning the Anti-Slavery Fair scheduled for Millbury on the 4th-5th of July informing the public that this event has been postponed until August 17th. Kelley notes that this will coincide with the semi-annual meeting of the Massachusettts Anti-Slavery Society, and hopes that attendance will be more favorable as a result. Kelley details the variety of goods to be available for purchase at the fair. Following the announcement, Kelley moves on to more personal matters, stating that when she last visited the Garrisons, she neglected to inquire of Helen Garrison regarding the possibility of the "Boston Society furnishing any aide to our fair", and requests that Garrison make mention of the subject to Helen. Kelley notes her anxiety concerning the meeting.
