Description

Sermon start time: (Part 1) 00:21. Sermon end time: (Part 1) 31:07.In the midst of deep trouble in this world, a voice calls us to set in order the things that are wanting. Just as MLK was called to set in order the Crete of this time, so Christians are compelled to set in order justice and peace and true equality. (Abstract created by Duke Divinity School staff.)Key quotation: "How would we approach our Crete today? ... This is the best time of all to apply the teachings of our master to the human condition. We've got to commit ourselves to that basic fundamental that was so important to Jesus. The fundamental that lies at the very foundation of our faith and at the foundation of a free and democratic society. The most important notion of all and that is the worth and dignity of every single person." (17:10.71-18:00)
